CHRIS FROM SPACE sounds exactly like that – a stark three-piece rock band, tripping gravity-free through the galaxy, grounded by tribal propulsion and buoyed by instruments dripping with reverb and tremolo in an unpretentiously urgent, slightly insane, musical package. The synthesizers press the launch button, the drums fire the thrusters, the guitars set the path of orbit, but we all know there’s a monkey in a spacesuit at the steering wheel.
